How to Customize Closed Captions
Here we go. Head over to your settings page on your computer.
- On Windows 10 you can hit your windows button in the lower left hand corner on your tool bar
- The settings icon (gear looking icon) should be right above your power off or on icon. Click your settings icon to open up settings
- You should now see all windows settings option. Look for and click on Ease of Access – Narrator, magnifier, high contrast
- Next look for and select Closed captions. This should be below the heading Hearing and below Audio
- Here you will see a preview window of what your captions will look like. Use the dropdown menus to change how closed captions on your computer appear in Windows
Change Caption Font dropdown Selection Options
Here are some of the dropdown options categories you can customize your closed captions from:
- Cation color
- Transparency for caption
- Style of caption
- Size
- Effect
You will also have the options to change caption background. This can be don by adding text background to improve the contrast and make text easier to read.
